Not long ago it was May and there were no leaves on the trees yet. Come to think of it, I’ve been wondering how the summer could be going by so quickly, and that’s probably the reason. There are supposed to be leaves on the tree in May. This year, May didn’t really happen.

Anyway, one almost warm early May day we, despite the threat of rain, drove west to Millbrook, NY to meet Tricia (aka The Exalted Tailor) and her husband Tim for our second collaborative photoshoot. You can catch up on our first shoot here. Tricia sews, we take photos- that’s our thing. For this shoot, she’d made a rather lovely Queen Esther dress for Purim, which you can read more about on her blog here.

That not feeling like enough to drive 3 hours for- and also because more is more better- she grabbed a couple other dresses, and we all met up at Innisfree Garden, a Chinese-style garden with all sorts of hidden nooks and crannies to spark our imagination.

The rain stayed away, and the sun played tricks with us the whole afternoon- too hot for a jacket until the clouds won out and it was too cold to not wear one. We felt very lucky to have the opportunity to explore such a beautiful spot, and to have so many memorable images to bring home.

Tricia’s already at work on our next project. I’d say I can’t wait, but it requires snow and ice… that I CAN definitely wait for.
