I think I’ve already mentioned our fondness for abandoned places. So much texture. So many hidden stories. While we’re not innately all that interested in urban exploration for the thrill of it, offer us a chance to photograph in a dusty room with chipped paint and we’re there.
So, in mid-January,when Lex offered to show us around an old mill we jumped at the opportunity. The day of the shoot had a predicted high of dozens of degrees below freezing. Needless to say, it was cold, and suspenders don’t exactly keep you warm. We didn’t have a lot of time to shoot, but we’re really happy with what we did have a chance to capture.
I haven’t been able to figure out the history of this place yest, so for now I’m just calling it the Turner’s Colosseum. Seems fitting.
