I woke up this morning to bright sunshine and tweeting birds and it hit me- it’s spring. Sure it might get cold again, sure it’s a month from the equinox, but it’s bright, wool is making me feel itchy, and I had a strange craving for asparagus. I know we still have maple sugaring season to enjoy, and it’ll probably snow again, but none of that matters now.
It took until mid April last year for me to feel like this. And even then there were still glaciated piles of black snow on every street corner. TJ and I had stopped trusting the outdoors, so it felt like a big deal for me to schedule a FULL day in Gloucester shooting this grunge-themed editorial with a combo of 35mm film and digital cameras. Thinking back now, it was actually June when we shot this. And we weren’t particularly warm either.
Of course, I’ve probably jixed myself by writing this. Oh well, enjoy the weather while it lasts.
