Salix

I was buying a balloon one day when I saw some curly willow branches for sale. I had no idea what I’d use them for but they were so cool, I didn’t even realize that you could buy sticks. So, I returned home with three bundles of long twisty things, and one pink balloon, expecting TJ to remind me that there is no more room left in our apartment for props.

Turned out he liked them. It’s good to live with your photo partner. I’m not sure there’s anyone else who would have understood*

And they make a really fun prop.

Of course, it would be out of character for us to not play with other looks as well. I mean, Alena had spent hours having her hair and makeup done by Holly, and we dragged a c-stand and light out to a castle. We had to make the most of it.

*My mom is the one other person, the sticks are currently residing with her… I needed the room to make a large paper peony.
